    App Store is horribly slow

I just purchased a Mac mini2 days ago and have been loving it thus far. One problem, though, the App Store is horribly slow and most of the time doesn't load anything at all. Safari is loading web pages quite fast, and the Email app is working fine, so I know the issue isn't with my internet connection or router. I've noticed that iTunes is slow as well. These two apps have been like this for more than 24 hours.

I'm on OS X 10.9.3 on a brand new Mac mini with all updates applied.

IS this a known issue? Is there a fix?

Might be worth giving Apple a ring Ard, Remember you have 90 days of free phone support.

Oh, I hadn't thought of that. Thank you for the reminder!

UPDATE: Well, it appears that the years I spent using GNU Linux have come in handy. I changed my DNS and the problem seems to have disappeared. Both the App Store and iTunes are now being populated within seconds.
