    Is yosemite good ?

Mine is Yosemite but I was told that Maverick is better. I just bought this computer in an OPEN BOX and there it is -- YOSEMITE. I believed someone updated it to Yosemite at BEST BUY after someone returned it to the store.

In my opinion Yosemite is excellent, There will always be someone who preferred Mavericks though.

You have the same model that I have and it runs really well on Yosemite so I wouldn't worry about it .

By the way, A late 2014 MacBook would have shipped with Yosemite already installed.

You are correct that my signature says I have is October 2014 and I don't know why I say that since the link said mine was actually in the middle 2014. I will fix it now. Thanks for pointing the finger at it. :D

How do I know if my macbook have maverick ? Is there a way I can find out about it ? I am just staying with Yosemite for now. By the way, did you know that PS3 and bluetooth have a problem with it ? Maverick doesn't but I tried it with Yosemite and failed and I kept tried and search some more in the google and found that bluetooth is a glitch with PS3 thanks to Yosemite but it does works after a few tried.

Yes, I found it.. Scroll down for July 2014.. Its middle 2014 and Early 2015 is a newer one so mine is Middle 2014. Here:

Yes your Mid 2014 MacBook would certainly have shipped with Mavericks as we didn't get the Yosemite update until October 2014.
If it was me I would be contacting Bestbuy and asking how come the the MacBook had been updated to Yosemite, After all you may have wanted a MacBook with Mavericks installed for all they know.

Let us know what they said if you decide to ask them.

I don't think it would help.

I read that you can download Maverick and get it back to Maverick from Yosemite but unfortunately since I didn't time machine for a back up. So apple store doesn't have it anymore. Only Yosemite is available to download. So, second option is to download maverick through torrent. Is it illegal ? Since this laptop came with Maverick maybe it won't be illegal to download it through torrent ? Let me know. Thanks.

Yeah, Yosemite is neat but I don't know what Maverick looks like and it was better for PS3 with bluetooth than Yosemite has a bug with bluetooth for PS3.

I am so into PS3 controller for my laptop thats why it became a struggle and difficult for me to use it. I did mentioned that I finally made PS3 controller works with bluetooth but PS3 controller's 4 led lights remain flash which wasn't supposed to do that I guess. However, it still works fine for SNES emulator that I tested anyway. :)

For now, I will keep that link info and continue using Yosemite.

Glad if I helped, At least it looks like you have the choice now so let us know how it goes.
