    Mountain Lion Upgrade

    Must I pay for Mountin Lion again in order to download it to a flash drive for a clean install? Mountain Lion has noticeably slowed my iMac that had version 10.7.4 installed.

    No, but you will have to download the installer again. Once installed, the downloaded installer is deleted. In order to do so, follow these instructions:

    1) Launch the Mac App Store and hold down the “Option” while clicking on the “Purchases” tab.

    2) Locate “OS X Mountain Lion” in the list, and click on the “Install” button to redownload.

    3) Find the “Install OS X Mountain Lion” app in your /Applications/ folder when finished downloading.

    How to Re-Download Lion From the Mac App Store

    You will then have to make a bootable USB drive. To do so you can follow the instructions on this page:
