Headset Button Not Working with iOS 6 Update

I have a standard (cord) headset with a microphone and play/pause button. I am using an iPod Touch. After updating to iOS 6, the button is not working. It was working perfectly for the past 2 months. I tried it on my friends Android phone and the button is working perfectly.

Any ideas? Can I restore iOS 5 on my iPod Touch?

I really need the button to function properly. I use it at work everyday.

    Thanks.

Make sure you back-up your iPod first, then hold the top button for about 5 seconds or so and a screen will pop up, slide the lock screen to reset..

Then, wait 30 seconds or so, hold same button, it will reboot from there.... Let me know if that helps the problem....

    Hi!
I'm having the same issue with my Apple headphone controls not working since updating to iOS6. I tried the reboot, but no change. :( Just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone had other suggestions.
