Photo date issue on Aperture 3

This is only my second post and I joined because I have a question and will probably have more in the future lol.

I can't figure out what's wrong with it. It was YYYY_MM_DD, now the date is spelled out (Like October 14, 2012) and totally disorganized my photo library. Half my library is in the original format, the other half is in this spelled out format. Also, all the dated folders are completely out of order. Completely out of order, except for the YYYY_MM_DD folders. Those are perfectly fine and in chronological order. Something obviously got changed in the settings at some point, but I can't figure out just what.

I need help getting the folders reorganized. I don't care what format the date is in. I just want them back in chronological order and all in the same date format. It's really hard to find anything. They appear this way in "My Photos" under Mac HD as well.

If I left any symptoms out for diagnosing the problem, then let me know and I'll describe them.

    Thanks in advance!

What version of OSX are you using? So your library was organised just fine until fairly recently? Have you updated Aperture recently? There was an update pushed out a couple of weeks ago. I'm not a big Aperture user, only just started to use it, but perhaps we should start by trying to pin down what has changed on your system.

I think my MBP is 10.5.8. I'm not sure if Aperture has been updated recently. My aperture library has been out of whack for a long time, though. It could be messed up from an update months ago. I just haven't been motivated to sit down and fix it because I haven't been out taking pictures much until recently. Now that I am going to have a huge load of pictures of family to import taken over a period of several days, I want to get this fixed.

As I said I am no Aperture expert so am not really able to offer much support. However, I did find this on another forum and it may help a little. It's a bit old (2010), but you never know!!
