Using a laptop as a desktop
Hello, does anyone have any general advice about purchasing my first Apple product? Have used Dell pc's for many years
and I know very little about Apples.
I like to have two monitors connected to my pc in a dual display. I'm thinking that I can buy an Apple laptop and connect it to my
two monitors, then disconnect it and take it with me when I want to use it as a laptop. I'd like to get a fast machine with extra
ram installed. I'm tired of my slow and buggy Dell desktop. One of my monitors has a VGA connector, the other has dvi.
Is this a reasonable plan? Is there any downside to it? Will i be able to do everything that I can do on a desktop, on a laptop?
Which laptop should I buy?
Thank you!

My Mac has an Hdmi output plugged into a 40" tv. With such a huge surface there's no need to have two screens.
