    I really like those new iMac too, especially the 27". If I didn't want/need the portability of the MacBook Pro, I would get one of these as my next machine. But I do see myself eventually getting an iMac in a few years.

    yes i like being able to tuck my mbp away when I'm not using it,space is an issue also i like sitting in front of the tv with my mac.

    I will own a iMac one day. The display is so nice and they don't take up too much room at all.

    Doubt I'm going to buy one for 3+ years, by then there will be something newer and better. My iMac's perfectly fine at the moment.

    Please be aware that some software is not compatible with Lion just yet. So if your planning on upgrading check to see if the software that you are using is compatible with Lion.

    I have a 2011 iMac 27" i7 3.4Ghz Quad Core with 16GB of RAM. I only have one disappointment with it. There are no consumer level external devices for the Thunderbolt ports yet. I would love to see a Thunderbolt to USB3 adapter. A 4TB RAID 5 array that costs less than $700 would also be nice. But otherwise the iMac has been incredible. Especially when I run Ubuntu and Windows 7 simultaneously in Parallels. Allows me to develop software for any platform.

    Yes they are beautiful,I don't have the space for a desktop but if I did it would be the new iMac.

    I Just got the fully optioned Imac 27" 3.4 SSD, 16gb, etc. Its really good! Waiting for photoshop to arrive so i can load it up and see how it really performs. Some bugs with Lion still it seems. Waiting for an update!
