how do i transfer music?

i have some music on my mbp(from cd,s)what is the easiest way to transfer it to my ipad2? i have googled it but can't find an answer.

Is the music in your iTunes, if it is then you just need to sync them.

yes its in iTunes but when i connected the cable to sync nothing happened,do i need to click on something,i left clicked on the track but no wiser

When it connects, does iTunes open? If it does click on your iPads name (left hand column) then music tab at the top. This should show sync options, it may be set to manual, which is fine if you only want certain music on your iPad (check the stuff that you want then hit sync) or set it to auto if you want it all......if this doesn't work let me know and I will have a play as I'm writing this from memory!

If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open it up when your iPad is connected and see if your iPads name is listed in the left hand column, if it is follow what I said above, if it isn't, let us know and we'll try to sort you out.

It is, so many complain about iTunes but it is actually a very easy and incredibly useful tool.

Oh, and having looked the options are not quite as I described, the words are slightly different in iTunes but for any others, the 1st option on the music tab is everything and the second option allows you to pick and choose artists, albums, songs, etc. This is useful if, like me, you have more music than space available on your iPad.

Your iTunes purchased music will be in the iCloud for you to download onto any device, anytime. Unfortunately we won't have iTunes match in the UK yet for music we have bought outside of iTunes, we have to wait for that (no date announced yet).
