Apple to decide the fate of Google+ iphone/ipad app

In case you were wondering whether Google considers it worthwhile having Google+ act as a portal leading people to its other services or whether it considers it important enough to market to all its users, we have answers. According to a Google employer, the fate of the official Google Plus app for iphone currently lies in the hands of apple.Google employee Erica Joy tells us that the fully functional app is waiting in line for approval at the itunes app store.

Erica Posted on Google+: “For my iPhone using friends: the Google+ iPhone app has been submitted to the App store (no not today, sometime prior to today) and is awaiting approval.”
Google would risk shutting out a hundred million or so apple iOS users from benefitting from Google+ if it had plans only for its own in-house Android operating system. All of us apple iOS dependent ipad, iphone and itouch users can now dream of 'circles', 'hangouts', 'sparks' and 'huddles' (Google+ features) in the near future.

The universality of the app is uncertain for now. No one knows if it will be adaptive enough to scale up to fit the ipad's larger screen, but this shouldn't really affect its functionality in the long run.
Apple reps have not yet said anything about the chances of the Google+ app appearing in the App store, but knowing that all apps are screened before approval and well over ninety percent of them get the 'go-ahead', there's very little doubt as to if the app becomes available or not in the near future.

Even though Apple and Google are bitter enemies in the iphone-Android war, seeing as Google Plus is not a direct competitor to Apple, no animosity is expected in connection to the app's release in the itunes app store. That is if we're not factoring Apple's iTunes Ping social network into the equation.
