Diablo III Free Open Beta Weekend Kicks Off

MacRumors reports that Blizzard has opened up the Diablo III beta test to everyone for free this weekend, with the aim of testing its servers to see if they can handle a massive amount of traffic, as part of final preparations for the game’s release on May 15. The beta has already started, and runs until 10:00 a.m. PDT, Monday April 23. The open weekend is available to all players with a valid Battle.net account. After downloading the client, you’ll be able to log in to the beta, team up with your friends, and get the chance to play any of the five heroic classes as far as level 13 as you battle to save the world from the imminent demonic invasion. Diablo III is surely one of the most anticipated games of the year so far, especially for Mac gamers, who for once are being invited to this particular party right from the beginning, rather than lagging behind the PC and console owners, so why not take some time this weekend to check the beta out in all its gory glory while you have the chance?!
