New Retina Display MacBook Pro Sold Out Already

AppleInsider reports that the newly announced 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, which was launched yesterday by Apple at its WWDC, has already seen its shipping date in the online Apple Store slip to two to three weeks, for both the 2.3 GHz model with 256GB flash storage ($2,199) and the 2.6GHz model with 512GB flash storage ($2,799). This means that Apple’s initial stock of the notebooks will have sold out in just one day. Aside from having a Retina Display, the new version of the 15-inch MacBook Pro has a new look, making it more similar to the MacBook Air, with a thinner shape, as well as having no optical disc drive. Looks like it’s currently the most popular of all the MacBook Pros as well, with AppleInsider noting that estimated shipping times for the refreshed 13-inch and non-Retina display 15-inch MacBook Pros with the old design show that they are still in stock.
