New benchmark results indicate that Apple will release 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro in

A whole web of rumors has started emerging around the benchmark of an unreleased MacBook Pro sporting an obscure Mountain Lion version, thus prompting some voices to speculate that Apple is looking to launch a 13-inch model of the Retina Display MacBook Pro. So to make their claim more serious, they even added a date: October 2012.

Unnamed sources shared information that Apple is not delaying its plans of starting production of the 13-inch Mac line, saying that the devices “have a chance to launch before October to catch up with the back-to-school season.”

These new rumors seem to agree with the prediction of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the same person who correctly announced that the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro will be unleashed at the Word Wide Developer Conference. He supports the theory that the 13-inch version will be launched in October.

The benchmark found by MacRumors is listed as a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and packs a 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7-3520M processor and runs a Build of OS X Mountain Lion called 12A2056. The results come curtsey of the app Geekbench and see the 13-inch MacBook Pro at 5,000 while the 15-inch Retina model comes up to 11,000. The unknown model comes up somewhere around 7,800.
