Apple developing its own Photoshop app

In a society where photography is becoming something most of us can’t live without, programs like Photoshop have become an important tool for both professionals and amateurs alike. Apple fans have a couple of options when wanting to edit photos. Apps like Instagram have become increasingly popular, but the software is a long way from offering any professional features.
Apple is looking to remedy things. A new patent recently published with the U.S Patent Office seems to suggest Cupertino is thinking of developing its own Adobe Photoshop-like program.
Basically, the company will be providing professional photo manipulation for users who are more artistic in their endeavors.
The app might work on Macs and even on the iPad. The patents describe a way to handle things using a mouse or a touchscreen.
“Rather than having to select options on a displayed menu,” the description states, "a user may provide input gestures at or near a displayed input tool to directly manipulate one or more properties of that input tool, such as its size or color.”
