The newly released iPod nano already gets its first update

Apple’s revamped version of the iPod nano just started shipping to customers around the world. Even so, surprisingly enough the company has already released a software update needed by users to induce compatibility with the latest version of iTunes. iLounge reports the tweak has been named iPod nano version 1.0.1 and does not concern any other issues.

New owners of the 7th generation iPod nano don’t have to download the update. All they have to do is plug in the new device into iTunes 10.7 on a Mac or Windows computer. To make the update, users will have to find the Update button under Version, which can be found in the Summary tab. It’s that easy.

The new iPod nano marks a new approach in design, when compared to models of previous generations. It was about time for Apple to take some steps into changing the appearance of the 2005 released gadget. The 7th generation iPod is available in seven different pastel colors and is also the thinnest Cupertino has ever produced. The multi-touch intelligent display features a wider screen of 2.5-inches than we were previously accustomed to. The nano also features the Nike+ , a software that aids users with their workouts. No GPS or camera features were added to the new models, even though some expected them. Bluetooth connectivity and a reversible Lightning connector have also been added.
