Report claims that a mini Mac line will also be released at the iPad mini event

The purported iPad mini is expected to be unveiled during a special Apple event scheduled for October 23. Yesterday, another item has been added to the official roll out list – the 13-inch Retina enabled MacBook Pro. Many of us were wondering if Cupertino would add anymore devices before next Tuesday, and it may.
Unknown sources just confirmed the tech giant will also introduce a shrunken line of Macs that feature increased storage capabilities and enhanced processors. The report came via 9to5Mac and it also added that the mini Macs will become available for purchase immediately after the launch.
Cupertino will apparently launch three versions of the mini Macs: two of them will feature a standard configuration, while the only differences will reside in the storage size and processor power. The third one, however, will be running the OS X Sever. All three models will come packed with USB 3.0 and some new chipsets.
As far as specs go, there isn't much agreement on the issue, but most speculate that the mini Macs will come sporting the latest generation Core processor, more spacious hard drives, improved graphics and Thunderbolt connectivity. The last time Apple added any update to the Mac line was two years ago in 2010, so a lot of changes are expected to be spotted in the mini line.
