Apple Raises Prices In App Stores Across The World

Apple has jacked App Store prices across Europe, rising around 11% at some levels. This is due to local VAT increases in some places, as well as the lower value of the Euro against the dollar in recent months.
Specifically, the lowest non-zero price has raised from €0.79 to €0.89. This is the $0.99 tier in the U.S. If you live in one of the following countries, then app prices have just increased for you.
Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Luxembourg, Hungary, Russia, Ireland, Finland.
Not only that, but – according to the venerable Viticci over at Mac Stories – several countries have been switched from U.S dollars to local currency. Here’s the list:
* Russia: Ruble
* Turkey: Lira
* India: Rupee
* Indonesian: Rupiah
* Israel: New Shekel
* Saudi Arabia: Riyal
* South Africa: Rand
* UAE: Dirham
