Apple sets iTunes donation page to help Sandy victims

As hurricane Sandy hit the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern parts of the American coast, leaving nothing but mayhem and devastation behind, Apple has taken the time to try and give a helping hand to the thousands of victims affected by the destruction of the storm.
Working side by side with the American Red Cross, Cupertino has setup a new page in the iTunes store where people willing to help can donate sums ranging between $5 to $200. It’s not the first time Apple is doing this, however. In 2011, during the Tohoku tsunami and earthquake in Japan, the tech giant partnered up with the American Red Cross in an effort to ease the pain of the victims. It did the same thing in 2010 after the Haiti earthquake hit.
It’s very easy to make a donation. Just open your iTunes app on your iDevice regardless if it is a Mac, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Locate the "American Red Cross Superstorm Sandy Relief Donate Here" button and click on it. The donation will be forwarded immediately to the American Red Cross. Users will then receive an email from the iTunes store whose purpose is to acknowledge the donation.
