Apple Starts Selling $999 “Education Only” iMac
MacRumors reports today that Apple has started selling a low-end (as much as an iMac can be low-end!) iMac for $999 that is only available to educational institutions and not to individuals. According to MacRumors, this new iMac made its debut on Apple’s Higher Educational online store today, complete with a list of its scaled-down specs, which are as follows:
- 3.1 GHz Intel Core i3 Dual-Core
- 21.5-inch LCD
- AMD Radeon HD 6750 with 256MB
- 2GB RAM
- 250GB Hard Drive
- SuperDrive
- OS X Lion
