The Sims Medieval: Pirates & Nobles Adventure Pack Comes to Mac
Heads up, landlubbers! Forsooth and yeah verily and all that, EA Play has announced today that The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles, is available now for Mac. The add-on adventure pack to the main The Sims Medieval game includes a new storyline, additional quests and one new Kingdom Ambition for players to embark on in their medieval kingdoms.
In the game, players get the chance to create a new pirate or regal noble Hero Sim, or customise their existing medieval Sim with new clothing and accessories. They can then choose a side, pirate or noble, and then decide how they want to proceed in the rest of the game. They might want to battle an enemy in a sword fight, for example, or explore the new gameplay feature of treasure hunting, where you have to find hidden objects and search for desirable rewards. There are also typically heroic quests to fulfil, such as finding the fountain of youth, protecting the kingdom from an evil sorcerer, or engaging in a forbidden love affair. Once you’ve completed that particular scenario, you can then replay the story with different quests, so there’s a lot of longevity to be had.“We set out to take advantage of the great questing feature of the base game and with The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles tell an epic story complete with adventure, drama romance, a royal wedding, a courtroom scene and more ,”said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio. “It’s a kind of storytelling that you won’t see in any other Sims game. On top of that we added some great new features, including treasure hunting, interrogation, and pet parrots and falcons.”
Another addition that the pack ushers in is birds, and lots of them, in lots of different varieties, with plenty of different colours and species to choose from. You can choose to have either a parrot or a falcon as a pet, which you can train and even send on missions, such as attacking a rival Sim! An interrogation chair has also been added to help “persuade” your enemies to give up their secrets.
The Sims Medieval: Pirates & Nobles is available now for an SRP of $29.99/£19.99.
