Lightbulb what would you do if...

you ordered an apple product like a charging port from the website . you get a package in the mail- your invoice says one charging port in the correct color but they sent you 10. You were only charged for the one ordered . do you contact them or keep the extras maybe offer them to friends at reduced cost. Not like you stole from the apple store, right?
we are usually honest people but these things are the kind of moral dilemma . Do you think the products can be tracked to the recipient and made to return the extra products or pay for them. we all know the profit margin is high on this stuff- not like they sent 10 iPhones or MacBooks .

It is a moral dilemma isn't it. How much does one of these items cost? You have nine extra ones, so that is how much you have made from Apple. No, they won't notice it financially but that is not really the point is it? You could keep them and sell them on, but you still be liable if Apple eventually notice their error and contact you to get them returned....that would be a bit embarrassing. Personally I would try to contact Apple and try and get the items returned to them....at their expense obviously, no need to be out of pocket here. You may find that they say it's not worth their while organizing a courier to come and pick them up and just to keep them. Alternatively, just take them into an Apple Store if you live close to one and let them deal with them there.

I would contact their customer service line and let them know. A friend of mine had a similar thing happen with a clothing store, she got a bunch of stuff in her size when she was only supposed to get one top. They told her it wasn't worth the postage to send it back and she got to keep them all. You might be rewarded for your honesty, and even if you aren't you wont have to feel guilty!

Be honest, Contact Apple and tell them of the error.
