OK, mine came in just a little while ago. The new drive is now formatted and accessible from my Mac. I was tempted initially to format it so my Windows computers could access it as well but finally decided that doing so would be counter productive. I had some trouble initially reading the online formatting instructions until I realized I had to over-ride my script blocker so I could see what they were trying to present.

I may have to buy another to attach to my Time Machine to extend its backup capability. Will have to see how this one works out first.
