Reminder/Calendar program that reminds on boot up of computer

Please help. I've recently moved from pc to mac and I used to have a great 'Reminders' program which I input all birthdays, put out bin reminders, do tax form etc and every time I booted up, it came up with a 'current reminders screen' that I had to click on to shut it once I'd read it. This MADE me do stuff and was very very useful. I could custom the reminders to pop up for a week or whatever before they were due until I clicked on them or the date went by.

I've downloaded 'NotifyMe' and input all my data - but it doesn't come up with an annoying message every boot up to force me to do stuff.

Can anyone recommend something exactly like NotifyMe but which annoys me every time I start up the computer until I complete the actions I've put into it?

    Please!?

    Best wishes Annie

Doesn't 'reminder' do that. If I put a reminder onto my iPhone then when I use my MBP it pops up on the screen.
