Apple TV 2 losing connection with iTunes library

Ever since installing the latest ATV update (5.1), I have been having trouble with it losing connection with the iTunes library on my Hackintosh running OSX Lion.

This happens either when the ATV goes to sleep, or when the Hackintosh goes back to the login screen after a while of inactivity (I never let it sleep completely).

What I have to do is start the ATV, dash up two flights of stairs to my office, shut down and the restart iTunes.

I have tried setting the ATV never to go to sleep, which helps a bit (until the Hackintosh goes to the login screen that is), but it never used to do this, and I would prefer to let my tech sleep at night!

I have also recently changed my router, but I can't see how this would cause the issue I'm seeing. Anyone with any thoughts?

Is it possible your network connection on the comp is being shut down when comp goes into sleep mode?

Well, it must be something like that. The computer is actually set NOT to go into sleep mode. All it does is turn the screen off eventually, and then go back to the log on screen when I move the mouse. You would have thought the network connection would be renegotiated when required.

As I say, this is a new issue since updating my ATV...it always used to be fine.
