    Problems with Safari, App Store and mail

    G’day to all, your assistance with my issue would be greatly appreciated.
    I own a 27inch iMac, which is about 6 months old, running macOS Mojave and up until about a week ago I had conducted all the mac updates.
    Without changing any settings Safari, App Store and mail stopped working; even though there is a live internet connection. The internet connection was verified through Network, under system preferences, with a status of connected. The connection was also tested through other devices, via wifi.
    I have done all the fault finding I can think of such as clearing cookies, running an anti virus check, checking for blocks etc.
    I also tried to do a diagnostic, as referred from on the Apple support page, by holding down the D on the keyboard directly after turning on the iMac. I attempted this several times but the iMac just went through normal startup.
    Please help.
