I currently hook my ipad2 up to the tv via HDMI to watch Netflix and other video. However, I don't want to use a long HDMI cord so i dont have to get up from my seat to pause/stop/search. Ideally I'd like to use the ipad as a table top device and control it using another iOS device. I have a first gen iPhone as well as a iphone4.
Are there any available options? I already have the HDMI adapter so I don't want to buy an Apple TV box or anything like that. HDMI is so pricy per foot that I'd like to avoid it.
Apple made sure that the AppleTv was the only interface that would work wirelessly with iPad for tv viewing. Sorry! If you only want to access tv content like Netflix, all BluRay readers do it and they're cheaper.
