    Pre planning for the I5

    Which is the best way to go? Get it at my local carrier or order from Apple when available. I got my Ipad and Imac from Apple but this will be my 1st Iphone. Oh, and I will be changing carriers from my current cell phone and want to keep the same number. Thanks for any advice in advance.

    You will be able to transfer your number over, and the best way would probable be to preorder it so you know your getting it when it comes out, thats what im doing, i believe they will get it to you the day it comes out shipped to you. thats my 2 cents :)

    I just qualified for an upgrade on Verizon on 8/25.I think I'm going to preorder from Apple so I get it the day it comes out.I don't want to deal with the crowds at the Verizon store.I guess it's either that or buy an iPhone 4 when they drop the price.

    Pre order is the way to go. There were a lot of people who got the iPhone 4 from verzion a day or two early this year...

    I agree, if you want to make sure you have it and don't feel like standing in the crazy lines on release day then definitely put your pre-order in!
