Will removing built-in apps void my warranty?

My only complaint with the iPod touch is that I can't remove apps that came with the iPod, such as stocks, mail, and other things I'll never use. I believe this would be considered jailbreaking, but I'm not wanting to do anything big or illegal.

So if I did this, would my warranty still be valid if I ever needed to use it?

As far as I am aware, a jailbroken iPod would get no support from Apple...it's not illegal as such, but would void your warranty. On my iPhone and iPad I simply group all the stock apps in a folder and place them on the last 'page', out of the way.
