So if you look around, or borrow someone else's copy, iDVD should be fine ...
Or, re-install Lion from the recovery disc, or, from the App store see what happens then..

thanks. I will look into doing that. I attend one to one lessons at the apple store. I will bring the thread with me. I am reluctant to do what you suggest on my own for fear of losing s/w.

Might not be a good to try that at an Apple store.... I meant a friend or another creative way through the internet...
