    Cloning help pleaseeee

Hi Mac users, I have got a bootable clone of snow leopard on my partitioned external hard drive, I made this using super duper. I would like to now change that to a bootable clone of Lion. My external has two partitions one for my hd clone of snow leopard the other just for a running copy of iphoto that I update every so often.. I think super duper erases everything before cloning will it just erase my snow leopard partition or both partitions. Can someone guide me through the steps, will I have to reformat the whole thing again ? Any help much appreciated 

When you run Super Duper choose the "erase and copy....." selection, this should be pointing at the partition where your existing backup is stored, if it is pointing there then you will be ok, if it is pointing at the name of the entire hard drive then don't continue and let us know. Basically it should see the existing partition as a standalone HD and will only use that partition.

I think it's working ! It pointed to snow leopard. There were two things mounted when I plugged in my external one called snow leopard and the other Back up which is where I put my iphoto copy. So will check back after it's done fingers crossed 

.......yep, (don't do this while you are creating your clone), with your partition mounted on your desktop just click on the name (it may be a double click), this will allow you to rename it as whatever you want.
