Recovering Bootcamp Partition
I am finally getting ready to replace the last piece of Windows software that I required Bootcamp to access. When I do, I would like to recover the 100GB Bootcamp partition and absorb it back into OSX.
When I bought my MBP, it had Snow Leopard installed and I still have the DVDs for install. I have upgraded to Lion, and when I hold my Opt key down during boot-up to get the boot list, I have Macintosh HD, Windows HD and Recovery HD listed. Would booting to Recovery HD allow me to reclaim the Bootcamp partition into my Macintosh HD partition, or do I still need to use my Snow Leopard DVD?Signatures? We don't need no stinkin' signatures!

Haven't tried that myself personally, but I would assume you would be faster to not use the Snow Leopard disc.
Ya might wanna see if somebody else can confirm this though...
Or, I will check out later when I come backup online.Mac Pro '06

I was able to open the Bookcamp app and remove the partition and it was reclaimed for OSX. I have my full 500GB for OSX now. Not even a reboot was required, but I did go ahead and Verify/Repair Permissions and the Disk, just to be safe.
