Saving lion installer

    Saving lion installer

    I'm probably going to download Lion over the weekend and I'm wondering how many of you saved the installer before downloading,I understand that you open applications and drag it out onto the desktop,is it best to do that?

    No, I didn't. but I heard some people have
    had an issue or 2..
    luckily, it went smooth as silk here..

    I downloaded Lion the day it came out , no problems at all but I did make a DVD of the installer...just in case ;-)
    Oh by the way , I'm new to this forum but not on the iPad forum !

    hi,so did you open applications and drag it out before you installed it as iv been advised?

    I made a copy ...I didn't dare take it out !

    . Thanks for the link,I reckon il be a nervous wreck by the end of the download so I bet I don't take it out either,a geek told me today that you can re download it if you have to from your app store purchases as it will know you have paid for it.

    I copied it to a DVD and installed it on both my iMac and MacBook. But you have to copy it onto the machine to be able to install it.
    iPhone 6 iOS 8.1.1
    New iPad (3) iOS 8.1.1
    iMac using Yosemite.
    MacBook Pro 9.2 running Yosemite.
    Apple TV 2nd Generation
