Trying to empty Trash !!
Hello again, I have just sent Open Office to the trash, then when I went to empty trash a notice came up saying . Can not empty trash because extensions.db are in use... can someone explain pleaseeee and how important is it ?

I don't exactly know what the extensions.db file is or does in relation to Open Office, but the reason you can't empty it from the Trash will be due to the fact that the operating system still has the file open for some reason. This can happen even if the application is not running. I would suggest rebooting your Mac and trying again. This should release the file from being used and allow you to remove it.

extensions.db file may be a database file that had been storing information related to tables, data, values and file data types. This file in use so OS X was unable to trash. I know you got the answer already but sharing just for information.

Hey Mac, in our forum search for empty trash, there are some programs
that will help you.. I'm on phone so to small to look around right now.
Something is still running, true I think as well..
