Please forgive me if I am sounding silly here but I am new to Mac world and OSX. On my dock I have app called TwonkyMediaServer. Every time I shutdown mac it complains that this app is not logged out. I know it is mainly used for streaming media etc.
My question is how do I fix this issue? Every time I want to shutdown my mac I have to force quit TwonkyMediaServer and it's bit worrying me!! I am even getting to the point of paranoid that it's being used by someone to get in to my mac lol (*told you i might sound silly*)
What do I do with this now? I have PS3 so I would like to stream media but don't want to force quit it.
I think it started appearing after I installed Office for Mac 2011. On the dvd box it doesn't say anything about this TwonkyMediaServer. Problem is I am not even 100% sure if it wasn't there from start. My iMac is directly from Apple UK store so it can't be from previous setup either.
Is there anyone else who got similar issue when shutting down mac?
I don't think it's related to Office 2011....I have installed Office and there is no sign of any oddly named media servers. Looking at that forum you linked, this is obviously a known issue with Twonky and one that the developers may eventualy fix. However, your issue remains. Are you actually using Twonky, or do you just want to get rid of it?
