    Need help bad

I need help trying to figure out what's wrong with my MacBook Pro. I restarted it and now when it restarts it opens to the apple icon and there is a loading bar. It loads about half way and then the computer just shuts off. I have to push the power button for it to come back on. It keeps doing this and the computer will not do anything else. Please help. I bought it brand new back in jan/feb of 2013.

Are you using the laptop on battery or plugged in?

I've tried both ways. I talked to apple and they said that hard drive is messed up. Either partial or the whole thing is messed up and that I will need to get that repaired. I tried to reinstall and it won't even select the hard drive cause it says that it is locked.

Well, if it won't even let you reinstall the OS, then I would have to concur with Apple, in that in the first instance it needs to be diagnosed professionally. They should take a look at it for you, run some tests and then confirm what's wrong and how much it will cost to repair. You can then make an informed decision as to whether or not to go ahead and get it fixed.

Ok. Thanks for the help. I'm gonna take it in to apple and see what they can come up with. Thanks again
