How Do I Send .WMA or .MOV Files ?

I have a new Macbook Pro. I thought it would be easy to send music files in email. NOT. I first tried to send a QUicktime audio file. No good. So I converted that .MOV file to AAC. Still no good. Then I tried a .WMA file which didn't work. None of these files will open in the reveived email. Can someone tell me what to do please? Thanks!

Does the recipient have a Mac or Windows machine? What exactly is happening when the recipient tries to open the various file types, are there any errors shown? Do the various converted files open on your Mac?

The recipient is using an Android phone. Has not tried it on his PC yet. He gets message "no available app". All files in all formats open fine on my Macbook. When I sent the file to myself in email I click on the attachment and NOTHING happens....no message, no error, no nothing....just no response to a click or double click to open.

On the Android Phone, your friend obviously doesn't have an app installed that can play the files in question. I would suggest convertin the music file to .mp3 which is more universal.

So I converted the iTunes file to MP3 and sent that file in email. The MP3 file will not open in email though it opens both in iTunes and on my desktop.....????????
