    Macbook Pro texting question

I have a Macbook pro using Yosemite. I previously had a an iPhone and liked doing texting on the computer. I just bought a samsung galaxy 6 and want to receive my texts on the computer like I'd been doing with my iPhone. Can I? Because if i can't, this phone is going back!!!! I thought the guy at the apple store told me you could connect the devices by blue tooth or something. Help!!

You're able to connect them via Bluetooth, afaik there's no way to send or receive text messages on your MacBook without an iPhone.
