Can't get into the Startup Manager (2014 MacBook Pro)
I got a used MacBook Pro (2014 model) from my employer. The OS was reloaded beforehand and I set up a user for my wife. Because we have 4 other computers at home, the MacBook was left lying around. Especially since a key (E) does not work and I wanted to swap the keyboard. Unfortunately, I then forgot the password.
I didn't care because I wanted to install Linux anyway. But ... I can't get into the Startup Manager to boot from the USB stick. Pressing Option or Alt at startup does not help. The MacBook boots directly into the login screen. I've tried several times. Also via a keyboard connected via USB.
Is it possible that the Startup Manager is not installed on the MacBook?
Any suggestions what else I can try?
Thank you in advance for your help.
