What would happen if I just did sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/USBExpressCardCantWake_Huawei.kext ?

Would that solve the problem? i.e. does the update process recursively does through everything in the /System/Library/Extensions directory, or would doing this cause more problems?

I'm not using this USB dongle any more and so don't care about the drivers - they can just go.

Where can I download the Driver USBExpressCardCantWake_Huawei.kext?

However the kextunload failed. From Terminal:-

    Ians-MacBook-Pro:~ iansmith$ sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/USBExpressCardCantWake_Huawei.kext
    Password:
(kernel) Kext com.apple.dts.driver.USBExpressCardCantWake not found for unload request.
Failed to unload com.apple.dts.driver.USBExpressCardCantWake - (libkern/kext) not found.

Doing a ls in there only shows a Contents directory. In that directory is a single file called Info.plist

    Ians-MacBook-Pro:~ iansmith$ ls -l /System/Library/Extensions/USBExpressCardCantWake_Huawei.kext/Contents/
    total 16
    -rwxr-xr-- 1 root wheel 5560 5 Aug 2008 Info.plist

This appears to be an XML file - do you want it uploaded?
Would somebody give me the Driver USBExpressCardCantWake_Huawei.kext.

This solved my problem. MBP OS X 10.7.4 I just had to drag n drop the kext to terminal to get the path.
