Can the Macbook Pro Suit My needs? (Opinions?)
I have a question for Mac users. Would a Mac-book Pro be worth it for an College student looking for a laptop for game development, coding and video editing? I am currently Looking at the Macbookpro 13in as an option also I am looking to use the Unity 3D Game Engine. Please let me know what you all think!!!

That it a very personal question.
Lots of considerations to be had... Money your willing yo spend, how much "work" will the machine actually be downing, what programs are a must to be installed. Im sure others will and can give their honest opinions as well..

I am looking to do web design/ java coding ect. I will be using the Unity 3d game development soft ware as well. I am planning on building a gaming/ work desktop later on down the road and the only problem I will be software cross platform issue (possibly having to buy two versions of software). I am looking to spend around $1600. So regardless of weather I go with a PC or Mac i will be spending a good amount of money. I am not bias, the main reason I am considering a mac however is due to the fact it seems to be a great laptop for work. On the other hand the reason why I am looking to upgrade my current Asus lap top is a matter of space other than that it is hard for me to justify getting a mac because in terms of stability I have not had any issues with my current laptop.(my hard rive is 75gb you can see why I am considering an upgrade).

If you are going to be doing a lot of development the you might find the 13" MacBook Pro a little restrictive in terms of screen real estate. Don't get me wrong, the machine is more than capable of handling Xcode, but you will be far more productive with a bigger screen, particularly if you are using graphics software alongside the development IDE. I use my 13" MBP for Xcode when I am away from my main development machine, and it can get a little frustrating having to flip between windows etc. Just a thought.

Great point Jez per usual. Using Xcode on small screens
is kinda a pain...

The idea of the 13 is for portability. When in the office or home-office you can dock to a large screen. So as stated many times if you do get the pro; get as much machine as you can afford.
