I don't think you have to pay for Lion if you bought your Mac within 30 days of Lion being released.

I just returned from the Apple Store from a free workshop on Lion. Learned a lot. Lion is new and I had to learn some new things. Kinda like a cross between my former MBP and iPad 2 with the apps and gestures. One to One member, too, but could not schedule a class on Lion until Wed, so enjoyed the free workshop.

Congrats #1337 on your purchase of a MBP. Great machine. Enjoy.

24hrs in. I've really only had about 2 hours max playing on my MBP due to installs, updates, and work! But I'm absolutely loving it. This is my first proper Mac of my own, and Lion is definitely the business for me. Seems like a natural extension to the IOS I have grown to know and love on iPad / iPhone, so ideal for my needs. Gestures are very natural.

Just scary how much I want to spend on apps and stuff for it now... :)

Respect is number 1 in the Forums.

Please be aware that some software is not compatible with Lion just yet. So if your planning on upgrading check to see if the software that you are using is compatible with Lion.
