New 13" MBP in pieces already!

Yes, I've only owned it since Monday, but my lovely MBP is already in pieces. However, it was wholly deliberate!

8GB memory upgrade arrived by express mail this morning. 52 delivered next day from Amazon, which seems like a bargain compared to the 320 the Apple Store wants for it!
    Memory - Apple Store (UK)
So, back came off, memory swapped over, back back on, and now I'm typing to you with my new shiny 8GB MPB!

Have to say though, those screws are tiny! I can't imagine the back will come off my MBP too many times during it's life but I'm pretty glad about that. Would be really easy to strip the threads or ruin the heads on those little blighters! If anyone is going to attempt it for the first time themselves, make sure you have the right tools, specifically a good quality screwdriver with the right head, otherwise you could end up very sad indeed!

I'm off to enjoy my extra memory and change my signature!

Nice with the upgrade. That mbp is going to be the bomb now.

@ijason, yes, it's the first one I've owned, although I've used various iMac's at work for a while...

@drivethegreen66, sure is bud. I've been able to bump the VMWare Fusion Windows7 VM up to 2GB running in the background and the whole thing is simply flying compared to my old core2 Dell lappy. I know memory always is, but even only a few hours in it's already a very worthwhile upgrade.

I remember in the other thread I said I would post some pics of my previous water cooled build. I called him "HAL9000" because of the big red reservoir on the front being so similar to the 2001 computer in the movie... See what you think :)

Usually he had a nice windowed side panel on, but I took it off for these photos. Don't' seem to have any with it on!

And the money shots of the "beautiful" internals...
