MacBook Pro HDD issue
Hey guys,
I have a new MacBook Pro and I added a SSD for my main drive and an HDD as a slave drive with an optical conversion. All has been well until last night. The slave drive "disconnected" somehow. I restarted my computer last night and had no issues as far as operation. I noticed today though that when I go to: apple/about this Mac/more info.../storage. It says under "backup" it says its 518 gigs. I'm not sure what this means. I don't have backups on my slave drive. Also, when I click the HDD icon and get info (command I) it says capacity 750 gigs, available 830 gigs...is there a way to remedy this? Also on my SSD it has an "other" category that says it uses 93 gigs. What is all that stuff? I'm not new to Mac, I've just never seen these issues before.
Thanks,
Josh

Would you be able to post screenshots of what you are seeing? It's a bit difficult to visualise what's going on from your description.
