Just had a quick read about the SuperDrive it looks like it would do all you need. It's built in on the iMac and it is handy for the odd cd and also for hard copy of your pics. Some of our experts will know if it's worth it's £££ 😊

I'm still considering, it's either that or Samsung......I'm a bit concerned since I realised my new Pro doesn't come with an install disc, I mean what if you need to reinstall your OS for example?

Ivy, they don't use them much anymore.. What you have to do is just hold down Command-R during startup.

It is a recovery mode where while in it, it gives you choices what to do and how to do it...

I have been looking at WD hard drives this morning, Bit more expensive but compatible with Time Machine, I want something that works right out of the box and they do, Some others like Seagate have to be formatted.
