Thinking of buying a new MacBook

    Hi all,
I'm thinking of selling my 2˝ yr old MacBook Pro and getting the Retina MacBook Pro, The only thing i don't like is that it doesn't have a disc drive, I looked at the Apple SuperDrive and it does look like a nifty bit of kit though, I'm very tempted, Have anyone of you got one and how would it compare to my present early 2011 i5?

Ask yourself this...how often do you really need to use the DVD drive....I hardly ever use mine now, the only real time being when I want to rip a CD or DVD to iTunes, which I can then play directly on my Macs or stream about the house. The Retina Macs are absolutely gorgeous.....I reckon you'll fall hook line and sinker

No, I don't actually have a retina Mac Ivy, just played with a few, and my MacBook has a DVD player.

Ok, That Superdrive looks really nice, Its about the same size as a cd case apparently and not as expensive as i thought it would be, Looking at how to get my old Pro cleared for selling on looks a bit daunting though.

I made the mistake of looking in the Apple store lol, I will most likely get the 13" again as the price really jumps for the 15", By the time you add Apple care and bits and pieces it adds up.
