    Apple care for older MacBook

    I just picked up an older MacBook from a friend of my who decided to upgrade to the new MacBook pro. I'm wondering can I buy apple care for this old MacBook or am I just on my own?

    Good question..
    Not 100% sure on that.

    But, I'm wondering, can your friend extend or purchase applecare thru Apple for himself, but you pay?? But you also can check out http://www.apple.com/support/ themselves.

    I also know that Source

    has a plan for 3 years.... It's a chunk of change though...
