N00b Here
Last apple product owned was SE in 1987. But hey, I'm old enough to remember products like 2E, Altair, Vectorgraphics, and also an IBMer that was part of the launch and development team in 1981. That being said, am a new MacProbook owner with all of the bells and whistles. Interesting how the Mac is no longer a 'simple' easy to use machine. Bought it for a specific purpose and am wallowing through it forcing myself to use it as a Mac and not revert to its Intel roots and load Windows. Making progress but at times it's painful, but not the Mac's fault. With the solid state drives it's blazingly fast, admittedly.
Loaded Mountain Lion and already had to revert back to a day earlier . . . Love Time Machine, had difficulties, for whatever reason, loading latest version of Flash etc. Reload solved it. But, begs an interesting question, seems that Downloads, unless in DMG format don't go to the Download folder. Must be something in Settings, oooops, Preferences.
Well, am almost 72, and owner of an IT business in Jacksonville, FL, a motorcycle enthusiast with 3 BMW's, a Harley, and a BMW with a sidecar. Be gentle in your replies, NOOBIES ID themselves to avoid scorn! And, the reply "uhhhh, have you tried the search engine is the fastest way to turn off a noobie."
