    Loss of Mail Folders!

    I recently had a glitch with my Mac & paid a tech to come & enable me to, once again, receive emails on my MacMail. I run a small hotel in Mexico, so that was rather worrying! He'd just left when I realised that the mail folders, that normally sit on the left side of the screen & into which I organise past correspondence, had disappeared! I've tried all the tabs at the top of the screen (& the bottom) & am concerned that if I "fiddle" I'll mess up something else! Can someone tell me how to recover these "hidden" folders please? Thanks!
