Is the music on your iPhone all from the iTunes Store, or does it also have ripped tracks?

Look up iExplorer. It's a free Mac and PC application. It recognizes your iPhone as it would a flash card. You can then do anything to its file system. The only problem is to deal with the weird file names.

Yes. Good info but it does not relate to this issues that is to transfer data FROM an iOS device TO a computer. Not from one computer to another. Apple discourages piracy as well as it can and prevents all iOS devices of becoming media transfers from one computer to another... It goes as far as not offering disk writing on most of its computers.

Great! If all music is from iTunes it makes it easy. If you 'repurchase' the songs you have/had you will not be charged for them as long as the device you purchase from is on your same account.

Your only resort is piracy and I don't recommend it. Apple built its store in this way to prevent piracy and it works.
