Your guide to new titles on Netflix this week:

    October 19th – October 25th

It’s that time of the week again, and BGR is bringing you a roundup of the best new content on Netflix for your streaming pleasure. A lot of your time is wasted by looking around Netflix for something you haven’t seen yet, so this update will save you some precious ticks on the clock.

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ (2013) — Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem.

A surprisingly better sequel to The Hunger Games that follows the book series’ dystopian themes.

‘Wyatt Cenac: Brooklyn’ (2014) — In his second full-length special, Wyatt Cenac discusses his thoughts on everything from adults giving each other hickeys to the vast changes in Brooklyn.

Wyatt Cenac killed it during his Daily Show stint, so this special will be one to watch.

‘E-Team’ (2014) — This arresting documentary profiles four human rights investigators who’ve dedicated themselves to combating criminal abuses around the globe. The team’s challenges include the atrocities committed by oppressive regimes in Syria and Libya.

The world is a monster when it comes to human right abuses. This doc looks like an interesting watch.

‘The 100′ Season 1 (2014) — Starring Eliza Taylor, Eli Goree, and Thomas McDonell. Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity’s lone survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet.

    It’s a teen drama with sci-fi that a 13-year-old girl would love.

‘Django Unchained’ (2012) — Starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo DiCaprio. With the help of a German bounty hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner.

Top-notch acting, writing, and directing. This is a highlight of the releases this week.

‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 6 (2013) — Starring Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, and Mark Boone Junior. A man in his early 30s struggles to find a balance in his life between being a new dad and his involvement in a motorcycle club.

More motorcycling and baffling plot twists. If you’ve been a fan from the beginning, you’ll no doubt be streaming this one.

‘The Carrie Diaries’ Season 2 (2014) — Starring AnnaSophia Robb, Austin Butler, and Ellen Wong. Carrie Bradshaw is in her junior year of high school in the early 1980s. She asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while navigating the worlds of high school and Manhattan.

It’s like Sex and the City, but no nudity.

Last week’s new releases for television: Last Man Standing Season 3

Last week’s movies: Tim Minchin and the Heritage Orchestra Live, Cowgirls n’ Angel, Iron Man & Captain America: Heroes United.

Your guide to new titles on Netflix this week: October 26th – November 1st

‘Bound By Flesh’ (2014) Available October 28th — “Starring Lea Thompson, Nancy Allen, Timothy Stack. This remarkable documentary tells the amazing story of Daisy and Violet Hilton, conjoined twins who rose to superstardom at the beginning of the 20th century as sideshow attractions, performing alongside the likes of Bob Hope and Charlie Chaplin. Ruthlessly exploited by their managers, the sisters ultimately sued for their freedom-which they won at a terrible cost. Bound By Flesh puts a touchingly human face on two outsiders who went from the lowest rungs of society to the big time and back again.”

So, basically, it’s basically American Horror Story: Freakshow the Documentary.

‘Rain Man’ (1988) “Available October 31st — Starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. Selfish yuppie Charlie Babbitt’s father left a fortune to his savant brother Raymond (Hoffman) and a pittance to Charlie (Cruise); they travel cross-country.”

If you haven’t had the chance to watch this movie, you should check it out.

On November 1st, Netflix is unloading a bunch of new movie and television titles including:

The Quick and the Dead (1995)
Star Trek VI : The Undiscovered Country (1991)
