    Those conditions are a daily winter occurrence in Québec with the only difference that its colder and the snow stays. We have a mandatory winter tire law...forgive me, tyre should I say, that helps us trust others on the road. Otherwise is would be unbearably slow to move arund. Driving on ice is something you learn quickly. Just a question of practice. Find yourself an empty parking lot and gun the engine!

    trouble is that in the uk councils ect are never ready for winter conditions,not enough grit and sand,schools close,public transport stops,theyr useless.

    They should be! because England is always cold.. the country that is always winter weather :D

    Last time at the air port stansted it was worse then this and the planes managed to take off still.. they did a good job of it and atm every one is throwing sand on the roads or making snow women.

    I would hate to be in a country where its like this all the time.. but it probably means you are better equipped to take care of it and drive or carry on work as usual in that type of weather

    Dealing with nature is in our nature... :) Our training starts early. If you have not grown up with winter it can be difficult to like it. I miss my days as a scout going trudging across the land on snowshoes. Unfortunately winters have become too mild to do this anymore...
